Al...Anxiety actually is being studied as a science. Alice Park wrote the Time magazine cover article, Dec 5, 2011 called: The Two Faces of Anxiety: It can paralyze you--or help you move faster. New science is revealing more about the upside of angst.<br /><br />I haven't had yet read the article but perhaps it might of interest to your readers... <br /><br />It does mention "For all the suffering anxiety causes, the fact is, the species would not be better off without it--and we might not be here at all. At its core, anxiety is a reaction, an arousal to a stimulus that we perceive as dangerous or threatening."<br /><br />The article does quote Sally Winston, Co-Director, Anxiety & Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland: "Anxiety itslef is neither helpful nor hurtful.
