"dna of happiness"

A tear in an eye at the birth of a child.A smile on a face at the sight of a lover.
Happy moments, quest for happiness.A journey we all want.

She had trouble with her lungs, bladder and bowels so much so that her diseases start to define her as who she was.She was not happy, she was complaining, nothing seemed to working. No amount of reassurance brought her peace.

There were questions :"why she was not happy about anything".
Our answers were ,"one day at a time","body is not a machine","healing takes time".She was struggling to be happy so do we to make her happy.

What is so desirable about happiness that everyone wants it,to be happy,is it a feeling of have it all.

Some may decode DNA of happiness in love, money, material or success. To them it is a feeling of have it all.It is the proximity to a feeling of in control which makes them happy.

Others find happiness in contentment in what they have as that is all. They are the flag carriers of happy band of people who truly invite happiness in their lives knowingly that love conquer, contentment rule.

hmmmm for me happiness is not the name of pursuit..its about staying content with what you have and not about worrying for things you dont have...if we start valuing things that we have instead of killing ourselves for what we dont have..life will become peaceful, its not always easy but all we can do is try at least :-)

When your whole life is happy and all of a sudden BAM! BAM! BAM! there are tragedies, illness and disappointments it can take all of one's life source to struggle back to the top again. I had not one or two ass kickings but three in less than a year and a half. Catastrophic stuff. Just when you think you're on your road to recovery BAM! It's put me in a downward spiral and it's been a real challenge. I want my old life back. I will fight for it

Just the reminder I needed. I'm going to mantra that tomorrow as I'm pushing through hordes at the mall. "Love conquers. Contentment rules." Maybe the crowd will part for me?

I'm not sure happiness can be found by looking for it. It can maybe be tripped over, or allowed to puddle up around you.

"Happiness is like a butterfly, the more you chase it the farther it eludes. As soon as you stop running after it, and withdraw your attention, it quietly comes and sits on your shoulder!

Happiness comes by “giving” unconditionally. Giving does not mean charity only. It means sharing anything that you have! It could be your time, knowledge, wealth, or simply your love and a positive attitude." (excerpts from my article at http://www.paradigmhouse.net/2011/09/pursuit-of-happiness.html

What a beautiful thought you posted to comments .I wish we could have gone through the feelings and the human mind and heart bouts happening through out our lives. Yes contentment may be last one to conquer and bring happiness of life. Danish it gives me a strong sense of inner feedback feelings. Thanks to everyone who participated in the awakening thoughtfulness.
