(You can take my breath away
I can be your hero babe,
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away!
Song in the background)
(Song change to:
I will fell down on my knees,
Kiss the ground that you walk on baby
If I just hold you again)
(Crowd: cheers,
Faces,kisses,hugs all around me)
I am thinking (looking at my phone)
I called her !
But she did not called back!
Then I called her again and
Left a message!
But she did not called back.
It has been a while
But she did not called back.
I told myself:
She loves me.
She is just busy!
I am thinking (looking around)
She is every thing to me !
This is the New Year Eve,
I should call her!
But then (10,9,8,7,6,5,4,.......... New Year Count Down in back ground)
I told myself:I should wait!
She loves me.
She may be busy!
(I can hear back ground song again:
I will never gonna dance again
The way I dance, just with you )
P.S.:Lovers,feel free to interchange "she/he"according to your own love story!
Just don't loose the flame.Don't afraid to cry. This is the "New Year Eve "
(And song changed:
Listen to your heart before you tell him good bye)

"Visitors are Welcome"
Today was a sunny, windy and chilly day, all in one, so I left home bundled up.
At a traffic stop,as an ambulance was passing by,I looked on my sides. I saw there was a large entrance to this graveyard on my left, nothing new about this, it was always there. But what I saw at the main entrance was thought provoking. A big board at the entrance saying:
VISITORS ARE WELCOME
and there was a second board standing on ground with a direction arrow saying:
INFORMATION
The immediate thought came to my mind was a dialogue from movie "Gladiator":
"I will see you again." " But not yet" "Not yet"
"Visitor are welcome", I thought about this whole day and while driving back home !
The usual question we ask is like this:
Do you think, death is an ending or beginning of something like life?
The answer may depend on how you define death.
But the real question is this:
Once we accept this "visitors are welcome"invitation, are we still visitors?
As we know, almost everyone ends up staying there for good!
No choices.
No RSVP!

eFriends:This one for you!
Wishing you all the very best of wishes for 2009/1430 and the years to come!
I would like to share this with you, as a NEW YEAR GIFT; please read even if you may have read it before !
People are often unreasonable,illogical,and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind,people may accuse you of selfish,ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful,you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank,people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building,someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today,people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you 've got anyway.
You see,in the final analysis,it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway !
Mother Teresa

"Rab Nay Bana De Jodi"
Today I saw the movie, and during one of the moments a drop of tear came out of my eyes!
I could not hide my secret, but no familiar face was there to share with or hide from!
I know this was not so macho, but it happened!
This movie is yet another LOVE STORY and who says LOVE is easy!
LOVE IS NOT EASY!
We all are in LOVE sometimes secretly, sometimes openly!
We all fantasize about true love, happy ending, forever together, soul mates, and match made in heaven!
We all suffer from the "First cut is the deepest", denials, walking away, pushed away, sighs, insomnia, moon gazing, stars counting, cry, tears and heart breaks!
We all become some types of either a philosopher, who know the real meaning of LIFE as such it exist (sweet, sour, bitter, salty) or a poet, whom words become a medium to promote LOVE, the ONE in which we did not succeed or a blogger with rantings!
We all believe that OUR lives are empty with a missing portion of LOVE,somewhere out there, the ONE which can complete our existence!
Person we love the most end up hurting us the most !
The whole notions of being in love, being loved and falling in love are just prism angles of a life so unknown as life on Mars!
Love has bring thousand questions and thousand answers!
The simplest one is "I LOVE YOU ?"
But the real question is this: If LOVE does hurt so much then why are we so desperate about it?
The answer may be as simple as LOVE IS NOT EASY!
I could not hide my secret, but no familiar face was there to share with or hide from!

"Jab We Met"
"Jab We Met "I liked this movie!
The movie thought came as I was driving back home in a very snowy filmy view(as in the movie) and I remembered the song "phir jenay ka maza yuen aanae laga".
I enjoyed my ride though too much traffic as these are the last few days before Christmas!
I also thought about my days spent enjoying PIDC kay paan, Cafe Students key Biryani,Camel ride at Clifton, Lahore key Gallian,Pindi ka Raja Bazaar,Islamabad ka Chuk Shazad,City's chaos, People's suffering,no law no order, just disgraced politician !
Here I am sitting in a traffic jam and I remembered seher's blog : http://2short2sweet.blogspot.com/2008/12/listing-outs-and-outs.html :"If you are ever jammed in a similar circumstance, don’t curse, just get a paper and pen and start to roll! I mean roll the list which requires your immediate attention."
So I did this ! I am stuck in a traffic jam and I am happy (no cursing) !

So I did this ! I am stuck in a traffic jam and I am happy (no cursing) !
I counted my blessings:I am sitting in an organized traffic jam.
Every one is staying in their own lanes, no honking,no mini buses, no motorcycles,no helpless traffic constables with whitish uniforms!
Living in two worlds has its own perks but the price we pay, only people who are wrap up in these time zones know.We live in two worlds and we miss what we love !
But the real question is this :Can a traffic jam defines a city's inhabitants moral civilised values?
The answer for metropolis Karachi,Lahore and Pindi is shameful! It has definitely nothing to do with education or corruption!

"Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend"
Since I heard this "Kay Jewelers" commercials "Every kiss begins with Kay."
I did this cool mind search, just to share:
Marilyn Monroe sings "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" in the movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1953)
The name diamond is derived from the ancient Greek ἀδάμας (adámas), "unbreakable, untamed", from ἀ- (a-), "un-" + δαμάω (damáō), "to overpower, to tame"(that's why I like Leo diamonds)
Diamonds are specifically renowned as a material with superlative physical qualities; they make excellent abrasives because they can be scratched only by other diamonds (or another woman)
They are commonly judged by “four Cs”: carat, clarity, color, and cut (and also fifth "C": cash)
Buy this premium quality 'Diamonds are a Girl's best friend' T-shirt. Select from various styles, colors and sizes or create your own(for dumb and losers!)
Finally this,Dr. Helen http://drhelen.blogspot.com/ writes: I never understood the whole concept of a woman wanting jewelry from a man, especially diamonds, until I read the book Why Beautiful People Have More Daughters. In the book, two evolutionary psychologists explain why people do what they do. Why are diamonds a girl's best friend? The authors conclude that women have to discriminate between "dads" and "cads" among male suitors. In order to find the guy that will stay with her and help her with children, she looks for two qualities: "the ability to acquire and accumulate resources, and the willingness to invest them in her and her children." A good way to screen for men who are both willing and able to invest is to demand an expensive gift--known as a courtship gift or nuptial gift in evolutionary biology. Not just any expensive gift will do. A Mercedes or house does not usually fill the bill--for these might have intrinsic value to the man if he likes European cars or is interested in real estate. A courtship gift, according to the book, must be costly and lack intrinsic value and be useless.Diamonds and flowers are beautiful and their beauty lies in their inherent uselessness; "this is why Volvos and potatoes are not beautiful." So guys, apparently, gifts that are "costly but worthless"--facilitate courtship, according to a recent study mentioned in the book."The researchers note that such extravagant gifts have the added benefit for men of deterring 'gold diggers,' women who promise to mate in exchange for a gift but then desert without mating after receiving it." So, it seems that diamonds serve as a litmus test for how a woman feels about you!
I may say that I like diamonds with five "Cs" and I know that the "First cut is the deepest"!
But the real question is that if "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" then who are we (guys) ?

eFriends:This one for you !
I would like to share this, one of my favourites with my efriends on blog:
IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER
I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.
I'd relax, I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously.
I would take more chances.
I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.
I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would perhaps have more actual troubles,
but I'd have fewer imaginary ones.
You see, I'm one of those people who live
sensibly and sanely hour after hour,
day after day.
Oh, I've had my moments,
And if I had it to do over again,
I'd have more of them.
In fact, I'd try to have nothing else.
Just moments, one after another,
instead of living so many years ahead of each day.
I've been one of those people who never goes anywhere
without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat
and a parachute.
If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.
If I had my life to live over,
I would start barefoot earlier in the spring
and stay that way later in the fall.
I would go to more dances.
I would ride more merry-go-rounds.
I would pick more daisies.

I am Bisexual !
Finally I did it!
My blog's gender analyzer say:We guess http://dannish-dannish.blogspot.com/ is written by a man (50%), however it's quite gender neutral (on 12/16/2008)
I wonder, does this makes me a bisexual? I don't know !
I know this that I like both men and women equally but on the other hand this analysis may have just proved that I am a hard core Libra,I show my famous balanced approach!
But some how the first thought is still staying there!
I think wisdom has no gender, its an equal opportunity enterprise.
I get my booster doses of self awareness from both women and men intellectuals..
Again does this make me a bisexual?
The real question is:Does intellectual attraction to both man and woman can label you as a bisexual?
The answer may be in the level of fatal attraction !

Sell your cleverness and buy bewilderment
"Sell your cleverness and buy bewilderment" Jalal ud-din Rumi.
This December 2008, besides other occasions including Haj,Eid,Quaid-e-Azam' s Birthday,Chanukah,Christmas,Kwanzaa, is the month of Rumi. The famous Sufi with ecstatic poetry in the thirteenth-century Turkey. As his funeral procession moved through the streets of Konya,Turkey,at sunset, December 17,1273 on a snowy winter evening, his family and closest colleagues were joined by throngs of Jews,Christians and Muslims, all claiming that Rumi's heart brought illumination to their traditions.Seven centuries later his resonant heart inspires unity and friendship among those of many religions and paths worldwide.
I am attending a Rumi Night on December 19,2008.I am inspired !
I would like to share some of Rumi's rememberance:
"When we have totally surrendered to that beauty,
We shall be a mighty kindness"
"Beloved....come,come,whoever you are
Wanderer,worshipper,Lover of leaving
Ours is not a caravan of despair
Come,come,come again"
Be destiny leads me and you where:
"We shall be saying finally,
With tremendous eloquence,Lead us"
Do you have a Rumi poem, lets share here !

Hall of Fame
The other day I was reading about Baseball Hall of Fame and quite impressed by how fans and nations keep their heroes alive, respected and honoured for generations to come. This holds true in this part of world for all heroes including statesmen, actors, musicians, intellectuals, scientist, generals, baseball players, basketball players, cowboys and the list goes on.
I think this is one of the greatest feature of developed civilised world.
Contrary to this, underdeveloped countries have no mechanisms to get this self booster shot of pride.
Countries like Pakistan have heroes but no mechanism to keep that politics free, merit based remembrance:Hall of Fame.
I don't know this but lets talk if you know that we have anyone of those:
Cricket Hall of Fame
Science Hall of Fame
Polo Hall of Fame
Hockey Hall of Fame
Squash Hall of Fame
Poet/Writer/Singer Hall of Fame
Great Mountain Climber Hall of Fame
We even don't have a Star Pavement in Lollywood to honour our actors and actresses.
I am not certain that as a nation we care much about our heroes, but we should,as we are very rapidly running out of heroes and as we know that the left overs belong only to the Hall of Shame !

Have you ever been a lover
Have you ever been a lover or been loved, what does love mean to you?
Trust me who has not !
I got this email from my classmate group:
What Love means to 4-8 year old children . . . A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?' The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined:
'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.' Rebecca- age 8
'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.' Billy - age 4
'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.' Karl - age 5
'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.' Chrissy - age 6
'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.' Terri - age 4
'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.' Danny - age 7
'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss' Emily - age 8
'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.' Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,' Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)
'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.' Noelle - age 7
'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.' Tommy - age 6
'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.' Cindy - age 8
'My mommy loves me more than anybody You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.' Clare - age 6
'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.' Elaine-age 5
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.' Chris - age 7
'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.' Mary Ann - age 4
'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.' Lauren - age 4
'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image) Karen - age 7
this one 'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.' Mark - age 6
'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.' Jessica - age 8
And the final one The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, 'Nothing, I just helped him cry"
To me as faith can move mountains, love can rock soul!

Who Invented the Lipstick?
History is always a fascinating subject to me, especially when I have questions like:
Who invented the Lipstick?
"Lipstick is known to have been used around 5000 years ago in ancient Mesopotamia, when semi-precious jewels were crushed and applied to the lips and occasionally around the eyes. Women in the ancient Indus Valley Civilization applied lipstick to their lips for face decoration.[1] Ancient Egyptians extracted purplish-red dye from fucus-algin, 0.01% iodine, and some bromine mannite, which resulted in serious illness. Cleopatra had her lipstick made from crushed carmine beetles, which gave a deep red pigment, and ants for a base. Lipsticks with shimmering effects were initially made using a substance found in fish scales called pearlescence.[2]
During the Islamic Golden Age the notable Arab Andalusian cosmetologist Abu al-Qasim al-Zahrawi (Abulcasis) invented solid lipsticks, which were perfumed stocks rolled and pressed in special molds, and he described them in his Al-Tasrif.[3] Lipstick started to gain popularity in England the 16th century, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, who made piercing red lips and bright white faces a fashion statement. By that time, lipstick was made from a blend of beeswax and red stains from plants................................................." (reference:Wikipedia)
The article goes on, thanks to Wikipedia encyclopedia.
Two important points worth to be noted:
1.Indus Valley Civilization (make me proud)
2.Islamic Golden Age (make me proud)
By the way,I searched this history about lipstick because I saw this article:
"The Hottest Lipstick Colour Is"............surprisingly!
http://netscape.compuserve.com/homerealestate/package.jsp?floc=MM-mant2&name=fte/lipstickcolor/lipstickcolor
On a personal note,I like almost all lipstick colours as long as it is non-sticking!

I am tall and thin
Today I went to this office to deliver a document and in the corridor I asked the first person I saw,"Excuse me do you know which room is Ms. TMZ's office"
She replied "I am her!"
"O'sorry, sorry ....good to see you"I said ,she added"in years I knew you by voice over the phone,I always thought you were some very tall and very thin guy, like 6 plus feet"then she smiled.
"I am sorry,I am not that person"I said with a smile too (you know business etiquette).
Anyway, the earlier unknown is known now, but I have this question :
Can we guess people's physique, race, colour by talking over the phone?
I have been more wrong then right many times,do you have any such experiences too!
From now onwards,I will not assume anything.
I will just ask: "let me guess, you must be very pretty"
She replied "I am her!"

140 millions runners wanted
The other day,I was talking to my friend about Pakistan as I seldom does, due to the hopeless state of affairs in my country.............sorry I know that hurts!
I asked her that whenever I talk to any person or watch a tv/radio programme, always (or to be fair almost always) good people are talking good talk that make sense but the question is this:
why nothing good happens in my country?
All politicians,merchants,soldiers,civilians,intellectuals,journalist,lawyers,civil society, ngo's, bloggers,policemen,officers,clerks,clergymen,teachers,physicians,engineers,actors,singers,
players,writers,bankers,barbers,tailors,laborers,IT technicians,black smith,lock smith,gold smith,men,women and children:
ALL crave for good and only good in their talk but where is this so talked about good?
she replied"because we are hypocrits, none of us want to walk the good talk"
I am looking from a different time zone and I found this is so true. I guess our sufferings are going to stay here for the time being until we start walking the talk !
Lets pray that some day we may have 140 millions runners in the good talk marathon!

It Happened Again
It happens again,as they say love at first site, memories live for ever!
OK ,it happened not to someone but to me and I am in love!
My love story goes like this:
I vividly remember that when I first saw her,she looks so hot in her green and white colored scarf, don't take me wrong but her site besides giving me palpitations, also gave me some pretty wild ideas too! (I am singing now,a love song.......................)
I remember that when I looked at her,I start seeing moon and star plus goose bumps!
I even thought of my future with her,a life together and what not!
But then,as in life things happens,so things did happened!
I never told anyone about my love for her.
But now,it happened again!
I dream about her!
I miss her!
I know she is a superstar!
I know, she is loved by millions and cheated by hundreds.
I just want to let her know that in my eyes she is always hot and I am her lover.
I know she is sad now, but I want to tell her, my love don't be sad,I am here for you!
It happened again, love works in mysterious ways!
You have me at hello,
my motherland:my superstar and my love!

Nobel Prize
I wish some day I will get a Nobel Prize, but for now I would like to share my thoughts about getting a nobel prize for this country now (in present tense)
I think people of Pakistan should be nominated at least for the nobel prize in some category, say in human sufferings:The Champions of Sufferers.
The criteria can be very stringent but we are Pakistanis,a wounded nation with stabs from its own,we can easily compete with other countries!
No electricity, still same electric bill, who cares
No safe water,who cares
No flour,who cares
No safety,who cares
No business,who cares
No stock exchange,who cares
No law,who cares
No justice,who cares
No leader,only jugglers,jokers and thieves,who cares
No parliament,a dummy parliament with a demo- elected dictator president, who cares
No elected minister of interior, who cares
No jobs for well deserved educated people, who cares
No respect to countrymen, can be for sale to other nations, who cares
No hope
No future
My fellow countrymen are still living and keep on living against so many odds.
My fellow countrymen you deserve this Nobel Prize!
I wish you the best.
I love you!

No law,who cares
No justice,who cares
No leader,only jugglers,jokers and thieves,who cares
No parliament,a dummy parliament with a demo- elected dictator president, who cares
No elected minister of interior, who cares

Birthday
Today is my birthday.I am years old now and happy.
I would like to age gracefully. You know, those" old" people (no,not Santa Claus)
you see them and say wow!
I also wonder why we don't count age, say from 100 minus per year, that way age can be standardized:who can make it to zero, another perk!
By the way,I did a cool mind search and found following:
Birth Size Predicts Cancer Risk?
Although it's controversial to be sure, there could be a link between a baby girl's birth size and her risk of breast cancer as an adult. The link gives detail:

Birth Month Impacts Your Cancer Risk
The time of year in which you're born may influence your risk of developing brain cancer as an adult. The link gives detail:

I think when we ponder on every aspect of life,we loose the sight and forget the art of living.

A Secret Finger Length Reveals
Is it just a coincidence,Eid was just here and O'boy,O' boy those hands with mehndi .
I did a cool mind search:A Secret Finger Length Reveals.
It says:
"Look at the length of your index finger in relation to your ring finger. If your index finger is longer, you're probably a couch potato. If your ring finger is longer, chances are you love to exercise"
The whole link is like this:http://netscape.compuserve.com/homerealestate/package.jsp?floc=MM-mant2&name=fte/fingerlengthsecret/fingerlengthsecret
I looked at celebrities hands and guessing!
By the way, I am a ring type!

Yours Truly
So by daily readings about the mayhem in the country founded by a law abiding statesman Our Quaid (the only) ,I think I have a solution to the problem of Pakistanis.
My country is a don state and the solution lies with these three Dons:Sharif,Hussain,Zardari!
I am addressing to the respective self proclaimed monarchs of three parties in my country:
Please ask your followers following tasks, so we may be yours truly:
1.Follow traffic rules.
2.Follow Law.
3.Don't give and take bribe.
4.Don't cheat.
5.Don't Lie.
6.Be honest in your trades.
7.Be proud and respectable.
8.Develop patience towards people with different opinion.
9.Treat women with honour.
10.Show courage to conquer your own demons.
But in reality, who is going to do this,a cheater is always a cheater!

Collective Conscience
when I see the democratic processes in different parts of world(not in Pakistan) it represent the collective conscious of that nation.A nation is judged by her collective conscience in history and all glory or failure depends on the common men collective conscience. The real question for everyone is "where am I standing?"
