"kiddish heart"

Remember when we were a kid,
I want to remember it today.
I feel kiddish,I want to grow old as a kid.
Its my new year resolution!

Remember when you were a kid.
I remember,
flying kites on the roof,
playing "Name,Place,Thing,Animal" with mama and papa,
playing ticktacktoe with brother,
going to school with sisters,
drinking Ovaltine at night,
sleeping like I sold all my horses,
chewing gum in class room,
ridding bike without permission,
looking at boys like an unwrapped devil.
looking at girls like a wrapped up gift.
Then I grew up!
and the memory hard drive lives for ever.
I will grow old as a kid at heart!
I guess keeping a kiddish heart is not much to ask for!

The things which the child loves remain in the domain of the heart until old age. The most beautiful thing in life is that our souls remaining over the places where we once enjoyed ourselves.

tell us one thing. carrying out all this business in an old age, which you like to call childhood, did you ever felt time was passing fast? It can be yes/no.

There are days when I'm able to remember the good things, but the good memories often feel so pale and faded compared to the others. It would probably be a good idea to write them down before they fade into nothingness.

Luckily age gave me freedom and now I do as I please. =) I collect frogs and bugs on summer days, makes snow angels in the winter and eat cookies in bed when ever I want to. I have a jar on my desk with pretty stones that I've found and adopted and I never miss an opportunity to have fun, the things I'm supposed to do will still be there when I get back. =D

Except games, Today’s kids prefer to watch very dishum dishum things(violent stuff.. either its cartoons or movies) or saas bahu craze (Indian soaps) instead of things like Ainak wala jin, Mr. bean, Looney tunes, Scooby doo, Popeye the Sailor, The Flintstones, The adams family, tom and jerry and list goes on… :(

when i step back to think in the rewind...
i forget, i never had the chance to live a kid's life.
never did i take things for granted the way kids take them. i wonder why i never was the kid i saw my siblings as....

p.s. but i am still a kid :) i live my hopes and i live my dreams. i know that tomorrow will bring in goodness, and bad will always have a fall.. i remember what my parents taught me and i know the right from the left...
i crave for candy and icecream and i love to play with my lil ones... so all in all... i never intend to grow out of that age...
today, no one is a kid, they are born elderly!

reminiscing

old always seem better... because the present remains impartial to our feelings and future is too unpredictable
